Program Expansion Plan

Comming out of COVID, PCMC had nearly shuttered the doors. At the start of the 2021/22 Fiscal Year, PCMC had a target revenue of $85,000 and lacked a plan for program expansion or revenue generation. Hired as a part-time Executive Director, I was able to diversify and increase grant revenues while coordinating the development of a strategic plan to change the directional focus of the organization from parent education to maternal mental health. We plan to close the fiscal year with a budget of $405,000 and 3 full-time employees.

Strategic Planning

Utilizing a Theory of Change Model, I worked with an outside contractor to develop a new Strategic Plan focused on a vision of equitable access and stigma reduction of Maternal Mental Health Support in South Monterey County. Working with Karina Lehrner with Capacity Consulting, I worked on adding a layer of qualitative program assessment to evaluate the social impact of our programs. Through using a Theory of Change model, we built i n evaluation methods into our teaching practices.

Board Expansion

COVID significantly impacted many small non-profits, including board retention and recruitment. Since 2021, I have doubled the size of our board and created a succession plan for leadership to move into advisory roles. My current work is recruiting specifically for diversity and local representation of South County.
